It was immensely beneficial for Ling Yun to have succeeded in attaining Physique Tempering Stage Level 1.

He had officially taken his first step to getting stronger. Moreover, he could continuously train with the Dayan Great Stars Technique now and would definitely improve his physique.

The absorption of the spiritual energy from the Shichiyou Herb had not only doubled from the previous attempt but the rate of absorption had also improved tremendously.

Even though the energy that he consumed was hidden and isolated, Ling Yun knew that if he needed to use it, he could retrieve it rather easily.

When his strength was depleted to a certain extent, the energy would appear automatically and circulate through his body to replenish his strength.

Hmm, not bad. Compared to last night, I have absorbed double the amount of energy.=

After absorbing as much as he could, he finally stood up.

Turning his head, Ling Yun’s gaze fell on the sandbags that he had brought.

Grinning to himself, he ran at the speed of light and swung his right foot to kick it lightly. The bag flew into the air like a football accompanied by a *bam!* sound.

Ling Yun then used his left fist to punch the sandbag that fell and it shot to the sky like a rocket.

Without lifting his head, he silently counted to five and waited for the sandbag to fall to the area near his knees. Copying the famous scoring technique of Cristiano Ronaldo, he booted the sandbag again.

The 25 kilograms of sand flew along with another *bang!*, creating a perfect arc in the night sky and landing ten meters away. If anyone saw him moving, they would be astonished at how a fatty like him was able to run so fast that he was able to keep up with the falling bag.

Just as the bag came close to landing on the floor, Ling Yun stuck out his foot once again and kicked the bag, making it shoot into the air.

This time, Lingyun did not chase after the bag. His breath remained relatively steady, treating the 25 kilograms sandbag like a football in his eyes.

He watched silently as the bag dropped twenty meters to his side, his lips curving into a confident smirk. Looking down at his protruding stomach, he whispered, “I should’ve dropped a few pounds too, right? Not bad, let’s continue!”

Walking towards the sandbag, Ling Yun gently raised it with his toes before using only his right hand to place the bags on his shoulders.

Looking back, he glanced in the direction of the Shichiyou Herb and dully uttered, “Thank you. I’m going back to sleep now, see you tomorrow!”

With that, he turned back, took a deep breath and sprinted at the speed of lightning.

Yan Jing, Beijing.

At the same moment that Ling Yun started his attempt at overcoming the first level, Ling Hao laid naked on a leather sofa in a famous parlor in Yan Jing, enjoying the service of two beautiful foreigners.

Ling Hao was the eldest grandson of the Ling family in Yan Jing. He was 28 years old that year, with a well-built figure and a gorgeous face. His exposed stomach showed no hints of fat and only eight-packs which contracted along with his excitement.

The situation in this room could truly make a man’s blood pump!

Ling Hao’s gaze was fixated on the Russian beauty that was strip dancing two meters away from him. Her golden hair danced crazily in the air, teasing Ling Hao’s every sense. Meanwhile, another petite girl with her clothes torn into strips by Ling Hao is grinding on top of him.

Suddenly, his phone rang, signaling the incoming of a message. Ling Hao furrowed his brows and fished up his phone from the sofa to read the message.

“Sh*t!” Ling Hao cursed as he read the message. His eyebrows furrowed together as he stood up abruptly without a care for the two ladies.

“Get out now, the two of you. Come back later when I call you!” He muttered coldly while staring at his phone. Accustomed to such situations, the two females only smiled and left the room without asking any questions.

After skimming through the message once more, the anger in Ling Hao’s eyes intensified as he grumbled, “He’s not dead yet?”

He then dialed a number. The call was instantly answered.

“Didn’t you tell me that the bastard was dead last night? Why is it that I just received a message telling me that not only is he not dead but he is living very well? And you still dare to take my money after this job?!” Ling Hao barked harshly as his expression turned serious due to frustration and disappointment.

“WHAT? Not dead? You must be kidding me, right?”

The person who picked up the phone was Chen Sen, who was a member of one of Yan Jing’s most powerful families and also the person behind Ling Yun’s car accident.

“Who would be willing to joke with you at such a critical time? The person whom I sent to scout the area told me that Ling Yun is alive and well.”

Chen Sen’s eyes narrowed and he thought that for Ling Hao to call him at this time of the day, he must have been speaking the truth, not just to get back the twenty million dollars which was peanuts to the both of them.

Not dead? We slammed a whole car filled with rocks into him at that speed and yet he’s not dead? At the very least, shouldn’t he go into a vegetative state and be stuck in a coma forever? This has surpassed all of reality!=

Unless I killed the wrong person? But that’s impossible unless the photo provided by Ling Hao is fake!=

“What the f*ck are you thinking about? I’m telling you, if you do not give me a proper explanation, don’t blame me for losing my temper!”

Listening to Ling Hao fly into a rage at the other end of the line, Chen Sen said in an annoyed tone, “Stop swearing! Are you sure your men didn’t see wrongly?”

Hearing his denial, Ling Hao became more infuriated as he growled, “My men saw it wrongly? If you want to find an excuse, at least find one that is more believable. My men reported that not only did Ling Yun appear in the school courtyard, he was running around with a sandbag!”

“Are you telling me that this is called dead? Huh! If you don’t dare to kill someone, just say it. I have many ways to deal with him but why con me of my twenty million dollars?” Ling Hao shouted with his mind sure that Chen Sen had not killed Ling Yun and was just trying to cheat him of his money.

“About that…” realizing that Ling Hao was speaking the truth, Chen Sen became speechless.

With a change of heart, he used a questioning tone and said, “Young Master Ling, think about it. I may have lost a few thousand due to gambling and may be in need of some money but there’s no need to cheat you of your money, right?”

Chen Sen tried to appease Ling Hao before saying, “Last night, I went down personally to see the body and I can confirm that your b*stard brother was dead on impact. If he is still not dead after that, I have only one explanation for it.”

This was, of course, a lie as Chen Sen had been in fact, too lazy to get out of the car and he had only used infrared binoculars to check that Ling Yun’s head was covered in blood before concluding that he was deceased.

“What could possibly have happened?” Ling Hao hurriedly said while frowning deeper.

When it came to killing, especially when it came to killing commoners, he believed that Chen Sen was definitely able to do it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked Chen Sen to do it.

Knowing that Ling Hao would definitely send someone to check on the outcome of the murder, Chen Sen would not have made up a story just to cheat Ling Hao of his money. He was definitely well-paid for the job.

In China, it was even overpriced to pay twenty million for the lives of twenty commoners.

As if he thought of something scary, Chen Sen lowered his voice and cautiously whispered, “Young Master Ling, have you heard of the ‘Old God of Chinese Medicine’? Apparently, he has the ability to bring people back to life and he actually lives in Jiangnan Province, Qingshui City.”

Hearing that, Ling Hao sat down on the sofa and said in disbelief, “What? The ‘Old God of Chinese Medicine’ lives in Qingshui City?”

Chen Sen, who believed in such things continued, “If not him, then who? No one other than him would have been able to bring your cheap brother back to life in one night after getting smashed like that!”

After Chen Sen’s take on the matter, Ling Hao cupped his mouth and only one word flashed in his mind, ‘Impossible!’

His mind flashed and after a moment of contemplation, he refuted, “You are speaking of the impossible. Firstly, how can things be so coincidental? Secondly, the ‘Old God of Chinese Medicine’ treats sickness and not wounds. You told me that Ling Yun was brutally annihilated and even a magic doctor would not be able to bring him back, much less should he be so energetic like a normal, healthy person!”

“No matter how magical the doctor may be, it is impossible for a person with broken bones, squashed organs, and wounds that are gushing out blood to be brought back to life in one night. The bones can be grown back but this still requires some time, right?”

Chen Sen was slightly uncomfortable but all he wanted was to give a plausible explanation since he was unable to return the twenty million dollars as it had been used to pay off his gambling debts.

Suddenly, he thought of a scarier possibility. With his face turning pale, he muttered, “Young Master Ling, I believe you. However, have you ever thought that maybe your brother is so lucky that he was saved by those people?”
