Chapter 502 - 496: Ambushed (Part II)

Of course, Lewis knew how sturdy Olivia’s vehicle was. How immense of a force would it take to dent Olivia’s car hood so deeply, like a typical car would?

Even before his mind can process the situation, another loud explosion, and the overturned car slammed heavily onto the road. A massive impact from his body hit Lewis. Suddenly, countless blue foams gushed out from nowhere, engulfing Lewis into a sea of foam, protecting him from any harm.

“Master, run! Just hold out for two minutes, and a T1000 will be here for backup. Escape into the dense forest on both sides!” Olivia’s voice echoed.

“Damn it!” Lewis couldn’t help but curse. As Olivia spoke, the blue foam in the cabin rapidly dissipated at a terrifying speed. The car was now lying upside down on the ground. Lewis was still clueless about what had just transpired, but this was the first time he heard Olivia in such a panicky tone. Without another thought, he slammed a fist on the nearby vehicle door.

He put all his strength into this punch. The Little Wildcat Protective Suit had already wrapped his entire body. The vehicle door was knocked flying by Lewis’s punch, and Lewis himself squeezed out of the vehicle. As he got out, a light green shadow rushed toward him. A loud crash, this shadow directly collided with the overturned Goddess of Light car, forming a massive dent on the bottom of the vehicle.

When Lewis spotted that shadow, he gasped. Without a second thought, he turned and ran!

Finally, Lewis understood why Olivia had told him to run. That light green shadow was none other than a hideous alien Lewis had once seen with Charles Mason and Gregory Worthington! The equipment the alien was wearing was clearly advanced. No wonder even Olivia’s powerful car seemed like paper in front of him. The moment Lewis met the alien’s gaze, he could even see a hint of mockery and disdain in those eyes.

Shit! Lewis couldn’t help but curse in his mind. Nevertheless, his feet didn’t lag behind. Lewis had reached the peak of human physical fitness. Should he continue to exchange for potions, it wouldn’t just cost 100 points each, but it would have turned into 5,000 points per point. Furthermore, Lewis would first need to spend 50,000 points for a genetic adjustment before he could continue to take them.

So, Lewis didn’t continue to exchange for potions. However, with his physical fitness and the enhancement of the Little Wildcat Protective Suit, Lewis’s running speed could even be compared to a cheetah for a period of time. But, when he caught sight of the green figure pursuing him, he couldn’t help but jump with fear. Damn it! Could someone tell him why this shit can defy the laws of physics and just jump around like a grasshopper in the trees?

Furthermore, his speed was much faster than Lewis’s.

“Master, you only need to last for 1 minute 40 seconds! The Little Wildcat Protective Suit can help you resist attacks for about one minute,” Olivia’s voice echoed in Lewis’s ears.

“1 minute 40 seconds? You overestimate me! I can’t even hide for 10 seconds. He’ll catch up quickly,” Lewis blurted out hastily. “Zero! Come out now, didn’t you say you’d protect me without any problems?”

Zero did not respond to Lewis as usual. Instead, it disappeared as if it had never been there. “Damn!” Lewis cursed. “Boom” A vast force violently hit Lewis’s back, sending him flying. A sharp pain radiated from his back, and then a massive tree in front of Lewis’s eyes enlarged rapidly.

Instinctively raising his hands to protect his head, a crisp “crack” resonated. It seemed as if a cannonball had hit the tree trunk, snapping it instantly at its bowl-thick waist. Lewis let out a muffled hum. If it wasn’t for the Little Wildcat Protective Suit, this blow might have taken Lewis’s life.

“Bam,” the short green figure landed right in front of Lewis, “Wait a minute, who the hell are you?” Lewis couldn’t help but curse. Now that escape was impossible with Lewis’s speed, he couldn’t evade the figure. His only option was to buy time. Moreover, this guy was clearly an alien. If he could get to Earth, that meant his technology was more advanced than Earth’s by who knows how much. Lewis didn’t believe he wouldn’t understand him.

“Stupid earthling.” This alien, who stood about 1.4 meters tall, spat out a phrase. His voice was raspy, like the clashing sound of two pieces of wood—exceptionally harsh to the ears. However, he spoke in perfect Mandarin. Although the content of this sentence gave Lewis an unacceptable déjà vu feeling.
