Chapter 120: Cards
Temur changed his weapon from the metal whip, and it flowed around him, covering his body like a cloth until a full body armor covered him. "Now then, it\'s your turn."
Kaidos hissed; he didn\'t think all his subordinates would be taken care of so easily; he knew how powerful they were, and from experience, he knew he couldn\'t handle the two of them. \'I should stall until Kaelith gets here,\' he thought.
The air stirred and Kaidos focused, too late! Temur was suddenly in front of him, and he had little time to react as a punch snapped his head back; he flew back and slammed into a shelf with a clatter. Everything fell on him.
"You shouldn\'t take your eyes off me," Temur said. "The last time we fought, we weren\'t in the best condition, but now, we will give you a run for your money. Use that blood technique of yours if you don\'t want to die so early in the fight, that is."
"Hahahaha." Kaidos laughs from his place. "Do you think, Kaelith will stand still while you trash his place? And now that you are here do you think he\'ll leave this place unguarded?"
"Your master is currently busy, maybe even fighting for his life. You should worry about yourself."
Kaidos didn\'t reply, not with words that it; a red light flashed from the place he was staying, and he suddenly erupted out of the debris. He is now covered in his blood armor and holds a blazing sword.
He slammed into Temur, and the two went tumbling; they slammed into the wall and made a big crater. But they were up and on each other in a flash.
Jael sighed. "It\'s best we leave them to it. How do I get you down?!" He shouted up at Litha.
"I don\'t know, this some kind of artifact. Maybe jump and try to throw it down like a ball or what."
Jael crouched and sent Hermit into agility, then he leaped, he reached the ball and did as she suggested. He slammed the ball down, and to his surprise, it shot downward, accompanied by Litha\'s shout.
The orb smashed Into the ground and broke into pieces, a blue light shot out and condensed into a shape. Litha was grinning like a maniac, her blue eyes hard as diamond, but as she took a step, she stumbled and almost fell, but Jael was there and held her up by the shoulder.
"I guess there\'s no washing in the orb because you stink!" Jael said with a laugh that turned into a cough when she glared at him. He cleared a chair for her and sat her down. He took his first look at her and his anger rose.
She was now lean and her face hollow, only her eyes shone bright. "Wh..m..."
She touched her stomach and grunted with satisfaction. "At least I\'m healed. The orb messes with my head but I think it was providing me with some kind of nutrients, just to keep me alive."
"I\'ll kill you!!" A voice suddenly rang out, Kaidos saw that she was back and turned his back to Temur, running towards Litha instead. His sword broke, and part of his armor cracked, but he was still an impressive figure.
But maybe he shouldn\'t have turned his back to the one he was fighting because Temur took his head from the back and shoved it into the ground face first with a bang. He then took hold of his legs and plunged him back, and then he leaped in his direction.
Jael turned back to her. "Well, I\'m glad you are back now, Temur will flatten you up in no time."
Litha nodded then asked sharply. "Then where\'s Kaelith? He\'s not the type to put things to chance." She did nothing but study him and Kaden, and she knew he was a cunny fox.
"Oh, he\'s getting held up by Thayer. He won\'t interfere until we leave this place at least."
Just then, they heard a scream. Kaidos shouted out in pain and fear, but it was suddenly cut short by a sharp crack of bone.
Jael looked and saw Temur staggered forward, dragging the lifeless body of the beast-man with him. He didn\'t attain his victory unscathed either. His face is a bloody mess, and he was holding his left hand gingerly; he dropped the dead at Litha\'s feet. "The one that stabbed you."
She smiled, eyes flashing hotly. "I wish I can be the one to kill him myself, but thank you, Temur. Come let\'s get out of here so I can better scold you."

Kaelith walked into Thayer\'s space and he accepted him with a smile. "I can\'t belive I\'ve met you, are you a guest Lord Ola?"
The eyes look through the mask smiled and said in a smooth voice. "Yes, you can say. I\'ll only be spending a little time here and then I\'ll be gone."
"But why? Are you an active Climber?" He asked.
He gestured and led him away from the crowd, then he snapped his finger and the mana hummed around them. "I\'ve set a shield around us, our words will be our ls alone."
"It\'s a good shield." Thayer allowed after he saw it wasn\'t harmful.
"But not as impressive as the one you put outside. Let me answer your previous question.
"I\'ll be a Climber again. You know I\'ve met your father once, from a distance of course. He\'s one of the most influential man in the Tower after all, you too have the same eyes. It\'s the eyes of a predator, selfish bastard that only do things that benefit them but I see it more in you. Thayer Argent, just what do you stand to gain from all this?"
